Electronic fences for medium-sized dogs are a practical solution to safely define the space in which a dog can move. This type of device is particularly suitable for dogs that roam freely in the garden or larger property and need to be prevented from escaping or entering restricted areas.

For medium sized dogs (e.g. beagle, sheltie, cocker spaniel, border collie) it is important to choose a fence with a reasonably sized receiver that will not encumber the dog but at the same time offer an effective warning. Collars in this category usually have a weaker pulse intensity, some of them do not allow adjustment of the intensity of the correction pulses.
