To view your dog's location, simply download the free TRACTIVE app to your mobile phone or log in online on your PC and you can go on a virtual expedition with your feline adventurer. The Tractive app can be downloaded for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The minimum system version requirements are Apple iOS 12+, Android 7.0+. 

Virtual fence

Set up a safe area such as your garden or neighbourhood. Get alerts when your cat leaves the area - and when it returns safely. Virtual Fence helps keep your pet safe by alerting you (and anyone else you share a tracker with) as soon as your pet enters or leaves a pre-determined safe area. Notifications are sent to your smartphone via push notifications (not SMS) and require an internet connection. Sending time depends on network provider coverage and the smartphone platform itself. Email and web notifications can also be enabled. If you need two (or more) different zones for home and work or any other place you would like to designate as "safe" for your pet, you can add up to 5 virtual fences per device. The minimum virtual fence size is 50 meters (radius) for a circular fence and 100 x 100 meters for a rectangular fence.

Activity tracking

The latest release of Tractive GPS Activity Monitoring - a simple and fun way to see how much activity and rest your dog or cat gets each day! You can also track how many calories they've burned, how active they are compared to other pets on leaderboards, and track their activity stats on a weekly or monthly basis. Activity tracking is included with all Tractive GPS subscription plans on convenient devices. In the Activity folder you will see the following: Active, Calories, Rest and Sleep.

• Active minutes are the time the animal spends doing activities such as walking, running or playing
• Calories gives you an estimate of how many calories your pet has burned in a given period of time
• Rest time is divided into rest and sleep, showing the number of minutes your pet spends resting and sleeping

The tracker is comfortable to wear for cats weighing over 4 kg. Included is a collar clip that fits most cat collars. There is no space between the collar and the tracker, so there is no risk of the cat getting caught or tangled. The tracker attachment clip ensures a secure (and easy) attachment to the collar. The tracker is slightly curved, so it fits comfortably on the cat's neck. The Tractive GPS devices have no SIM card holes or USB ports, so they are not only protected against splashing water, but are also fully waterproof (up to 1 meter, 30 minutes) to IPX7 standard. This makes Tractive GPS devices perfectly suitable for water pets and can of course be used in the rain. The tracker lasts up to 7 days in operation, with an approximate charging time of three hours.

The Tractive GPS tracker offers the significant advantage of a worldwide GPS tracking service that works over any range, thanks to the integrated SIM card that is installed in each tracker. This SIM card automatically connects to the local mobile network in your area to transfer GPS data from the device to your computer or smartphone - just like sending a text message. Tractive GPS operate over any distance.
